I heard from some one that claimed to rebuild 225's that they made a three inline carb manifold for the 225 slant. is this true?

Triple side-draft Webers are not uncommon on a slant. It's not a "factory" option but it is doable.

That would be a Weber side draft set-up. It was not a factory installed system.

Triple Webers or triple SU's. I had three of the triple SU intakes; can't remember if I sold them all off or if I kept one. None of these was a factory item, all aftermarket, mostly from Australia.

I'm curious... did you ever get to run one of the triple SU intakes? They look pretty neat, and the simplicity of the SU carbs is intriguing.

Triple SU intake is available at this site:

Keep in mind that the Australian dollar is not the same as the American dollar (US cost will be less), and that Clifford Performance is often difficult to get parts shipped from there once you have paid.

Problems with triple carb setups include complex linkage arrangements and keeping all three carbs in synchronous tune, although there are solutions for both. The question may become how much work you are willing to go through for performance. The triple intake is known to be a killer combination, but a lot of work for a non-race vehicle.

another problem is you have to have shop make you a header. I know because I grew up 10 minutes away from clifford and had spent some time with the man him self, 6=8, and he quoted " none of my headers will work the flanges are to wide for the intake"

I have a triple Weber manfold for a slant, Lynx brand, appears to be new.
I have since bought a Hyper pak and dont require it.
250 Aussie dollars owns it if anybody is interested, but you can probably buy one there cheaper.

Same ol' Clifford, full of laughs. :roll:

There are at least five different triple-carb intakes that've been made over the years for the slant-6, by different makers, and their designs (including flange width) aren't all the same. I've seen several of these triple intakes fit just fine with commercial headers, and dual Dutra Duals would work, too.

Oops :oops: . I haven't seen those 245 or 265 up close before and just assumed. Silly me.
