I have a 8 3/4 rear that I will be swapping into my now 7 1/4 assisted Dodge Dart...3.23 suregrip etc. The rear came from a '69 Dodge Van and of course will need to be narrowed for action. And instead of buying new custom axles, I want to retain the van's axles due to their beefiness...I should be able to save the axles, have them cut and resplined...It would be preferable to travel the Puget Sound area rather than send them UPS out of state...Any Slant Sixers know of a shop that will do this? Thanks. |

I know the Portland area has a place, but I don't know the name. Might try looking around there. I know they narrow housings and axles. Just a thought. |
