I found a reasonable outlet for cast 2.2 turbo pistons. I know that the stock bore for a 2.2 is 87.5mm, which is a hair larger than the stock bore on a slant six. The part # 533P is the stock bore for the 2.2. I have never been any good at the metric system, so I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with the oversize conversion. As I stated the stock part # reads #533P, And the oversize numbers read, #533P50mm, #533P75mm, #533P100mm, and #533P150mm. One can almost be assured that a used block will need to be bored, so if I know how much these size differences are, I will know which one to choose on the over bore. Thanks for the help.

The stock 2.2 piston is about 3.44", which would be approximately a 0.040" overbore on the Slant. It's best to have the pistons there when sending the block to the machine shop as they can tailor the clearance to the pistons.

87.5 = 3.44488
88.0 = 3.46457
88.25 = 3.47441
88.50 = 3.48424

http://www.worldwidemetric.com/metcal.htm

In general, the 2.2 sizes are .005 over SL6 oversizes.
The standard bore 2.2 is .045 oversize, then .065, .075 & .085

As already noted, buy your pistons and measure them before boring & finish honing the block.
