O.K. after doing a search on lokar cables, this is the way to go. But I am wondering, shift 1-2 seems fine, 2-3 seems slow, this is when I have the throttle almost wide open. Does that sound like a kickdown problem? Or does it sound like something internal? I dont remember it being like that with the one barrel carb and stock kickdown. |

What do you mean by slow? Is the shift delayed, so that it occurs at higher speed than you think it should, or does the actural shift event take to long to complete? Does it seems to be slipping during the shift? Does the shift seem too soft? |

Yes it seems like it is too soft or possibly slipping. This is occuring at almost wot, and I know the kickdown is not moving all the way back at this point. |

If the kickdown linkage isn't moving through its full travel your shifts may be on the soft side. |
