i'm going to build a slant to go stright (race only) and would like to know what year block (225C.I.D.) the pros would start there build up with? please and thanks |

I would try to find a 66 to say 74 225 in a running engine. Then you can kind of hear what you got. No knocks or pings . Valve noise would not concern me. Then you probably know you have a good core to build. Thanks Ron Parker Bagels Juiced Im Bamboozled |

I would, also. By staying with a 68 to 74 engine, you will have a forged crank, and not have to worry about the small pilot the early cranks had.
