I'm associated with Sharadon Performance (sharadonperformance.com) here in Minnesota. One of our customers has a 72 Duster that we'll be restoring in the up coming next few months. He bought the car new in 72. The car has a 225 SL6. He visited us when we were racing at Monster Mopar Weekend at St. Louis last year and was impressed at what he saw in the Slant 6 class. Espeically with the "Buzzin Half Dozen"s run of 11.70@111. Well, he now wants to run his Duster into the 10's. It sounds like a big project and we're not really familiar with the 225. We are most familiar with small block and big block applications when it comes to A bodies. Heck we even squeezed a 605 Elephant into a 68 Dart. This will be a new challenge and I'm sure it can be done, but we'll need some help along the way. Any idea's will gladly be excepted.

Welcome to the board.

The best way to get it into the tens will be to lighten the crap out of the car and then spray it, turbo it, or supercharge it.

The BHD car has been low 10's on spray. If he wants high tens he can do it pretty reliably, mid to low tens gets pretty dicey.

Turbo/EFI on alcohol will be more reliable, but more pricey to get together.

So far we're looking at using a turbo for the power adder. Anywhere to start looking for a forged crankshaft?

Thanks for the info and help. I see I have alot of reseach to catch up on. lol This should be a fun project. We're currently finishing up the customers 66, 273 Barracuda restoration. After that is completed, we'll be starting on his 72, Slant 6 10sec Duster project.
