Post subject:  New wheels/electric fans

I finally have the new wheels on it all the way around. Got the fans installed and hooked to a Spal FAN-PWM controller. No noisey fans here. (unless I turn on the A/C)
Got the 8 1/4 A-body rear installed, kindof. Still missing the driverside spring plate. I made a plate to temporarly hold the rear but it has no shock mounting point and is not very strong. Strong enough to drive a 1 mile to the tire shop where the measured for rear wheels and tires. Rears are Torque Thrust IIs 8"wide 4.5 backspacing and running 235-60-15 TA Radials. Fronts same wheel but 6"wide 3.25 backspacing running 215-60-15. Front has the MP Brakes disc conversion. Rear is 10" drums. In a couple weeks the motor should be done.

Thankyou for your complimants.
I am a little confused about my feelings in regard to this car. I have never had a car that is done. This car should be done in the next month with the motor change. Then what to do with myself. I have been thinking about this car for a long time and when it done I think I am going to be sad. Its not how I thought I would feel when its finished. Some would say its never finished, but I really think it will be.
I don't want to start other project, they just cost to much. I think I should call the white coats and have them drag me away for evaluation. :?

Bring it up to Valdosta, on Memorial Day weekend. You can race with the slants, or just show it off.

Cecil had mentioned that a while back and was thinking about going, but then found out how far it is and its in my busy season, so it really wouldn't be smart to go. My job gives my a lot of freedoms as long as its not in the hot season or far enough that it would requirer staying the night.

Glad to see that the double fan clears the water pump pulley. My Valiant will get hot idling in traffic with the aftermarket A/C running, so I've been wanting to see if two smaller electric fans will clear.

What brand and size are they?
