As I continue my wiring project I have come across a few (strange?) things -
On the starter relay "B" terminal I have 3 wires - One: runs to the battery - Two: runs to a fusible link at the main bulkhead connector (cavity "J" which runs to a red 10g wire that was cut and taped) - and Three: starts with a fusible link and runs through the firewall to the connection that feeds the ammeter-
Since I have a 65 amp alternator I'm thinking that the car was wired for a regular alternator, then when the car was ordered they upgraded to higher output alternator and they left the original alternator wiring circuit in place.
Any thoughts ?

Second- In the harness that runs to alternator there is a black 12g wire that was not connected to anything and it runs to the main bulkhead connector cavity "T" ; which then runs to the main ammeter connection -Now , attached the the black wire that runs to the main bulkhead connector (engine bay side) there is a short loop with a fusible link that runs into cavity "Z" - which then turns into a 12g red wire that runs to the dual connector (black&red) for the ignition switch -
I believe I can cut the black wire that runs over to the alternator and leave he loop in place. OR can I remove the loop and move it to the new fuse block I am installing ?

Again any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks Jeff

Question number one: What does the wiring diagram for your '75 say? If you are working without the wiring diagram, stop working until you get the diagram!

You can get a fairly good one free, here.
