you are talking about a rear drive NewYorker? if so yes they are the same as Aspen, Charger,Doba, Diplomat etc. of the same vintage. You will need the upper control arms from 73-76 A body DB car or aftermarket tubular ones. If I remember the NY's had 12 inch rotors
Many have used this set up... others consider it taboo. You will have to choose for yourself. search past posts for research.. Have fun,, they should stop that small car quick.....

using that exact set up on my 65 barracuda. works GREAT! i also have 11x2" rear brakes on mine. Darn thing STOPS!

Next summer i will upgrading to tubular UCAs and a sway bar.

had the car up to 92mph (quite accidentally BTW) and it handled fine. i have not noticed any of the problems that some say come with this set up.

i would go with an Al 2 bolt master cylinder also. i used the master, proportioning valve and all the front end pieces from an 84 Dippy actually, but its the same set up as u are talking about.

What are the problems that others have spoken of?

Some (mostly R. Ehrenberg over at Mopar Action magazine) babble about improper geometry which theoretically might exist, but only at extremes of suspension/steering travel not encountered in normal driving for pretty much any definition of "normal".

Here's a write up about it on bigblockdart.com complete with a discussion of the issue and an analysis of the results. My "Will Rogers" disclaimer applies.

Ehrenberg later commented that he hadn't done the math when he was concerned they would not fit - some of the later things he's written about this imply he's now a bit more on the fence about the idea.

And best I can tell in my reading travels, people who've actually MEASURED the geometry seem to think that the "incorrect" swap winds up giving you more adjustment room in the direction of aggressive setups that might be great for, say, autocrossing. And you can get within "normal" setup range also- so its probably actually a good swap in most cases.
