Why doint we do some dianostics or what and see. If you are the mechanical person lets see where the transmission is leaking. I doint think it would start to leak all over all at once.Clean everything up of trans fluid. Check the trans pan bolts and see if there snug Check the trans fluid level If does not show one the dip stick put in two quarts of trans fluid. And see if you can see where it is leaking and if the car will run fill it up with fulid. The correct method to check 904 or 727 trans fluid level is bring the car up to operating temp and put the trans in nutral and check the fluid. This is important See where it is coming from. Running . That will show the problem. Common places they leak front pump seal, pan gasket, fill tube, tailshaft seal. shift leavers. speedonmter seal. Thanks Ron Parker Bagels On Juice Im On Boost |

This sounds like it could be engine main bearing failure, and the violent shaking of the crankshaft took out the transmission front pump bushing and seal. |

Thinking about this some more, it is more likely the flex plate connecting the crankshaft to the torque converter broke, because it happened so suddenly, and because of the sharpness of the loud noise. Then, the torque converter probably shook violently, wrecking the transmission front pump bushing and oil seal. Remove the starter motor, look inside, and poke at the torque converter to see what's going on in there. Try to rotate the engine by the front pulley (vibration damper) and see how the torque converter moves. If it only needs a flex plate and front pump bushing & seal it's not too bad, but also check the torque converter and transmission pump housing for damage. Likely, the engine didnt get hurt at all. |

I have had two flex plates where the bolts back off of the converter. It sounds like a rod knock. Then one on my race car totaly sheared into. But it was just like it went in to nutral at wide open throtle no shake. It tore into at the 1-2 shift at 6000 rpms . I did not have a rev limiter on this car so I doint where the revs went up to but did not hurt any thing. Thanks Ron Parker Bagels On Juice Im On Boost |

so I have been really busy and have not had much spare time so heres the low down. The eic (elec. ignition control )box took a dump and that caused the black smoke and the poor spark performace. I also found a burnt plug wire. The trans leak is from the shift shaft seal but I cant say why so much leaked out but I did change my pan gasket and trans filter.Could be from over rev. It was weird but I thought it was the coil because it only was putting out 20k volts not the 40k-45k that a blaster 2 does. I guessed the sec. and pri. coil wires were as one but 4 days later it wouldn't start put my old eic box on and shes running great. At least I have a extrs accel ss coil now Silly rabbit trix are for kids |
