I am trying to bring a 1977 dodge d100 back to life but am having a lot of problems with old wiring, and not getting power to the ignition componets. I have replaced a lot of parts but nothing seems to fix the problem. I am just trying to bring this baby back to as close to origonal as I can any advice would help. |

The wiring has been cut and spliced quite a bit and I might have to run new wires to completely fix the problem but will check that for possible solution. |

I redid the wiring on a very similar truck. Chrysler used a full-current ammeter on them, and a little corrosion at the ammeter studs causes a lot of problems over time. I'd recommend you check the link, the bulkhead, the ammeter studs, and ignition switch connectors. In our TMC giveaway truck (http://www.tidewatermoparclub.com/Givea ... /2002.html) *all* of them needed work. |
