got 63 valiant convertible. Needs complete running gear and I have piles of 76.78.79 volares here. Will complete drive train go into 63 [engine , auto, rear end. How about brakes from old to disc.

yes, they do rust to oblivion, all the yards are gone here too.

I'd PM slantsixdan, he owns a 62 I beleive. I know the engine bay is smaller in the early 60's than the late 70's, and I think it does matter if its a 170 six (in your 63) or a 225. If your making the whole swap (including trans and rear) I think you might be okay, I would measure the driveshaft too.

The shifter mechanism will be a problem, assuming you have a pushbutton/cable operated auto in your '63. You can adapt a newer transmission and pushbutton shifter to work together - search "Imperial" on this board.
