Post subject:  Need vacuum help!!!

I just put a SuperSix 225 (year uknown at present)in an '87 P/U and rebuilt the Carter BBD but all vacuum hoses were capped.I need a diagram for it if possible.Engine has wierd pollution stuff at rear of valve cover with a 'drum-like" apparatus and 1"+metal tubes if that helps date the engine. I bought a new '80 truck and new '86 both w/225's and neither had this setup. This one is in an '87 D100 P/U. Can anyone help???[/i]

One at the back and bottom the largest is the PCV. The vac advance for the distributor is mid way up on the carb body pasenger side.

The only things that NEED to be hooked up to the carb are the vacuum advance, PCV and the fuel hose.

Don't run the vac advance to anything but the distributor. Bypass the little gizmatchie on the air cleaner that says "carb" and "distributor" on it. Go direct!
