just wondering if anyone knows of an aftermarket air cleaner that fits a 2.25 diameter carb. the closest i've found is 2 5/8. will that fit. thought about just cutting holes in the side of the air cleaner or have any one tried something else. |

The 2-5/8" air cleaners will not fit or work correctly on your 1bbl carb. There is no reason to punch holes in your air cleaner, nor to use an open-element air cleaner, and there are several good reasons to leave your air cleaner alone the way it is. It's not hurting your performance, and is really helping your driveability and mileage compared to an open-element unit. |
