This is a cool movie and even better short story. The movie is Steven Speilberg's first movie and one of Richard Matheson's best storys. (He also wrote: The incredible Shrinking Man, Stir of Echos, What Dreams may come, I am Legend (The OmegaMan), Nightmare at 20,000 feet (Twilight Zone featuring William Shatner). I also notice that they feature a Yellow duster in Edward Scissorhands too. Love them A-Bodies. -DusterIdiot res0aus2@verizon.net |

Overheated like crazy, but didn't blow up. The car still ran until the very end of the movie. |

For all-time car carnage and destruction during a 40 minute car chase, get the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" by H. B. Halicki. Cool big-block Mopar cop cars in that one too. Lou |

Actually Halicki owned a junkyard theovie houses scrapped all of their "old" cars into, so he decided to clean house and noticed he sure had a lot of openings for "police officers". In the follow up called "The Junkman" a hot chase wrecks Halicki's Cad, a mid 70's T-bird, and a Dodge Magnum XE.... To bad he was killed making Gone in 60 Seconds II. I think Gone rates above Dirty Larry and Crazy Mary, but probably just below Vanishing Point.... -DusterIdiot res0aus2@verizon.net |

Coordination wasn't perfect and it went a little early on top of poor Toby's car. I hope I get to go doing something I enjoyed, at least I'd die happy. -D.Idiot res0aus2@verizon.net |
