EDIS running in "limp home" mode, not connected to megasquirt yet, was a dry run to verify operation of EDIS module and coil pack, ala junkyard. More pix to come in the coming weeks when everything gets situated.

Cool! Is there a post/s somewhere detailing your work on the crank trigger, EDIS setup, etc? |

Nope, thats what I intend this to be. I'll upload pix of the wheel mounting shortly. I don't have any of the sensor mounting. I'll try to take some, but I may not have enough room. Basically that block you see holds the sensor on its end, and one bolt holds the block to a piece of unistrut. I removed 2 of the timing cover bolts and replaced them with studs. Each stud has 5 or so nuts behind them, then the unistrut bolts to it. Check out the unistrut here - it has evenly spaced slots on the back of it. every few inches, used in industrial building/framing. Check the link out. The unistrut "bolts" have thread in the center, then wrap underneath the curls in the channel. This allows me to slide the sensor back and forth, and tilt. |

This was a piece of alu. machined to meet the dampener.  The spacer is held down by the flush screws. Note the other screw, with the step, sitting on top of it. This comes into play here...  Its an oem ford gear available from napa. Center was machined out, and flat, and the slots put in for adjustability. I didn't come up with that position for the sensor until after the wheel was machined. The ideal "clock" for the slots, where the sensor is now, is in a bit different position then they are in now but its not a huge deal since I have adjustability in the sensor itself. |

     Test drives successful, took the maps from MS1 and put it on MS2, its doing good so far. Idle is lots closer to ideal now that I can run some advance without rpms going too high. Those plug wires are next on list. What you see in pix are parts store replacment for a 1991 ford aerostar V6 - the escort 4cyl were shorter but I didn't feel like buying 2 kits worth. Gonna do some measuring and get some fancy magnecor stuffs. Either that or get new terminals for my previous MSD wires, depends on what my mood is when I order. The stock gap for that system is 54 - I'm pondering opening my plugs up to that too. |
