Hi Folks:

I own a 1980 Volare equipped with the Super Six. The motor is stock. Would I see any benefit in power or gas mileage by using the "Orange Box" ignition control unit?

Not unless your current ICU is faulty. For better performance and mileage on your 1980, some good first places to look are ignition advance curves and exhaust system restriction.

I agree. I tried an orange box on my Duster when it was all stock, and it slowed the car down over a tenth in the quarter. Dennis
