Mopar bracket drag racing at Infineon (Sears Point) on Saturday, 6/16/07. I don't know anything about this event, but I plan to go and clock my Dart (if I get it finished in time). Hopefully I won't be the only /6 there. Here's the Infineon dragstrip schedule:

Yes, I am also thinking about running a car at this event.
I went last year and it was a good event but I only lasted 2 rounds in the "Street" bracket.

I have the NOS bottles filled and checked the 62 Lancer over, all is ready to "rumble" so I will be out there as early as possible on Saturday.
Look for a run-down looking green Lancer with a frog painted on the roof.

Unfortunately I twisted a spark plug off in the cyl head last night, so I'm a maybe for the Mopar race tomorrow. Must have been a defective plug, I was only torquing lightly. Will pick up a big easy-out tonight and hopefully get repaired for tomorrow, ready to run if not rumble.

Go get 'em, Doug!

How did you guys do over the weekend. I heard Glen Terry was going to race also....Update appreciated..Sorry about your head Steve...You will have lots of time to fix and see you at Redding on August 25-26? Maybe you can "caravan " with Doug and Allen? See you at Redding...

We had fun but I had to do a bunch of work to the Lancer to fix an ignition miss, the car did not run clean until the first round of eliminations... then I broke-out.
Glen was still working his way thru the Sportsman class when I left the track at around 2:00.

Fortunately the remainder of the spark plug eased-out using an easy-out. Car still needs a bit more attention, a few more adjustments before putting it on the dragstrip. It's been 3 years completely rebuilding it, so I'd like to get some reasonable times when I finally run it. That's my excuse, anyway.

I've got Redding on the calendar - certainly plenty of time to get the bugs worked out and run a few Wednesday night practice sessions at Infineon.

Here's a couple pics of that broken plug, BTW:
