hey all, i was reading somewhere on here, cant find it now, that you can use the disc brakes off of a m body car such as a fifth avenue, i have a few questions
1. i need the spindles, rotors, calipers, anything else off of it?
2. are the bolt patterns 4 or 4.5? or did they vary?
3. what else would i need besides those parts? like from my 73 dart? i was told that i can use the ucas from even a drum brake car?
4. what years of fifth avenues, etc would work?
5. the guy at my local yard said he thought they would want about 25 a side for them, does that sound reasonable?
thanks guys!

1. Additional parts: Caliper adapters and bolts, splash shields, lug nuts, You might want the old brake hoses for checking fit, but buy a new set to actually use. What are you going to use for rims?
2. M-bodies have a 4.5" BC, IIRC.
3. If you have the larger upper balljoint (1 7/8" across the flats on the BJ body, 9/16" threads on the studs), use your UCA's. Otherwise, you'll need the '73-'76 A-body UCA's that use the bigger balljoint.
4. No idea
5. Do they pull?

ok, thanks, i dont know what i would use for rims, i have a pair of 4.5 alum mags in the shed, but i dont think i have tires for them, and they are rear ones more for the rear, hmm, i wonder what size those wheels were, there was only two lug nuts on each wheel, but i could prolly snag the rear ones, and no, its a u pull it yourself thing, thanks for your input!
