He seems to be making up for lost time. Two wins so far this season. Congrats.

Congrats to Seymour! He beat a 13 second Valiant that got me in the semi's.

There were 5 cars total. Greg, Seymour, Dave with a Duster, Jim with the Valiant, and me.

Greg Seymour and I were all in the high 14's, with Seymour and Greg out MPH me by 4 or 5.

I ran Greg heads-up once. He ran 14:83 to my 14:93, but I put a gate job on him and beat him to the stripe by .06.

Seymour whacked Greg in Rd 1, I got the Duster, and Jim in the Valiant had the bye.

2nd round Seymour had the bye, and my car wouldn't run the number against the Valiant. It was going flat in the upper revs and not turning on the shift light. I'm not sure if I killed some valve springs or have an issue in my nitrous system.

I left as soon as I got whacked so I could get home before I died from lack of sleep. I loaded the car up Friday night, slept at my shop, and left fopr Martin at 3:30 AM. Got to Martin at 8:30 their time, and if I'd known they weren't starting anything until 11 I would have stayed in bed longer. :?

All in all, I had a great time. Had a lot of fun hanging out with Seymour and Dave, and I also met a lot of guys from Moparts. There were a ton of guys from my home track there too.

It was also nice finally meeting Greg and his Dad, and seeing his car. The car looks even better in person than it does on the Internet, and sounds really bad-ass when it runs. Makes me kinda want to put my good motor back together.

Had a long discussion with Seymour about the hey days of Slant racing and all the good cars that used to be on the circuit. Consensus is that between family time, travel expenses, and the fact that so many good cars are gone, the good old days are probably just that. Gone. :(

I thin Greg and I did convince Seymour to start posting the SSRN on this website. :D :D :D

Good race report from both Wilkesboro and Martin. Now we have some numbers that we can hopefully increase at next years events. The Killer Bees got a few points via Seymour and Dennis...good going . $$ for the "match race" goes to Dennis. I would send it but don't know if Slantziller is now living in Vegas , Chico , Nebraska or ?? Need address...Later from Chico,

Thanks Dennis: Will add to the payout "pot" for the next Redding race. Glad the "turdmobile" was on the track again. Have a few "newbies" via website so maybe we can have a good car count again at Redding.
