I will post some pictures this weekend. How many of you have heard of a slant 6 in a B body?

Post subject:  I've seen one other...

There used to be a bronze colored 1971 slant 6 Charger near my apartment in Tigard quite a few years back... a few were made, not many left around though (mostly the 'gotta have a V-8' itch took hold, and the 'junkyard el-cheapo big block swap' was a common afflicition)

Glad to see you have a good specimen, look forward to the pics...

I have one! Three on the tree, mint interior and less rust than it appears.
Exported from Illinois to Sweden by me in 2004.

Bought a 71 Charger coupe (back windows were fixed) with a rod knocking slant 6.Swapped a good running slant into it, talked the upholstery guy at the resto shop where I work to stitch up a leather interior in the same patter and drove it for a couple of years. Rust and an accident got it parted out (the leather interior was the first thing sold at the Nationals). By the way it was a dog in the acceleration department.

Sold my Satellite in favour for something else. The buyer stated he will drop a bigger gun (383+727) under the hood. Well, but that is his headache. He is 18 years of age so at least that is good. 18 is buy the way how old you have to be in Sweden for driving cars.

So now I will look if something interesting will turn up at ebay or hemmings or other sites.

How in the hell did I miss this thread? My '72 Satellte is in my sig. It used to be Winchester Gray Metalic, but some body painted it black (its more like primer now...guess I should have waxed it). Its a Custom, so it has wood grain trim in the interior, wheel moldings, body moldings, etc. It also has a rear window defroster.

One good thing about a slant in a B body is you can use a clutch fan from a V8 if you want with plenty of room. I also got some fender supports from a Cordoba (the tubes that run from a stud in the center of the fire wall to the fenders) like Kent has on his '73.

I like how you made yours look like a Roadrunner. Bet some jaws drop when you lift the hood! 8)

I just acquired a aluminum block, hopefully it is rebuild able. Polished up it would look good in the Satty. All I need now is a hyper-pak

Is that aluminum slant block from the person selling several aluminum slants in WA?

I have a 1971 or 1972 Road Runner/ GTX hood if you are interested.
