I have a '71 Swinger and recently bought a couple of cragar ss wheels for the rear. Turns out they were too big (14x8), and rubbing against the wheel well. I'm toying with the idea of raising the rear to maybe accomodate these. Has anyone tried this? Maybe i'd be better off just getting some 14x6's? Thanks. |

You'd have to raise the back of the car way up high to clear the 14x8s. Get 14x6s instead |

How much are they rubbing? I have heard people remove or roll the inner lip of the wheel well. |

Not sure how much they're rubbing. Les Schwab just said they were. I wouldn't imagine too much, considering there is quite a bit of clearance with stock wheels. Rolling the lip might work. Thanks. |

I would think you could get 8" to fit in the rear, tires may still rub some(corners) after removing or rolling the lip . |

Yeah I thought the rear would work, but that was the problem. |
