I talked with Danny Dunn last night and the Friday night test and tune is cancelled. Danny asked me to apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused. Joe, who is Dannys staging lane man is getting married Friday and Danny simply forgot. Everyone from the track will be at Joe's wedding.
I have talked with numerous people, and its looking like a big contingent of Slant 6'ers are going to make this race so it appears we will have a very good car count. If you are on the fence go ahead and make the effort it will be worth it.
Saturday morning around 9:00 A.M. be at Empire Chrysler Dodge Jeep with your Mopar for display in front of the showroom while we kick back and catch up on Slant 6 racing stories.
In case you need them here are a couple of motel phone numbers. Addison Inn- 336 838 1000, Holiday Inn Express- 336 838 1800, Hampton Inn- 336 838 5000. Wilkesboro Raceway park-336 973 7223.

Hey Ron,

Thanks for the info. Too bad about the t'n't, but there it is... I'll be there in the 64 Dart. The 68 would be more consistent, but the 64 is just sooo much fun to drive!

Hope to see a big turnout there. Any word from Bruners, Rodney, Jack P....?

Lou it looks like all the east Tenn. guys, and Georgia boys will be here. Jack, Barry, Drake, Paul, Myers (Chis and Charles Jr. in juniors), Plus others I have not mentioned. Its looking good.

Everything is in order for me. I will be on my way unless the weather man calls for heavy rain all weekend. I should be arriving early in the day Saturday if not sooner.

I wouldn't mind having a few phone numbers 'just in case'. Does Ron or Lou want to send me a PM with their cell? Helps me feel connected. :) Just in case I don't make it. :wink:

Thanks, and hope to see you all there. Might drive the Aspen, or might drive down and pick up a car along the way. :roll:

By the way, are we gonna kick some killer bee's attendance numbers or what! :P

Were going to be there. Won this race last year an hope to do the same this year. We are going to set up the Slanted Attitude Dart For Kill. We have the Car we Have the driver lets see what happens. Thanks Ron Parker :D

I'll try to take some good pics.

Paul Moran is coming down and will likely stay at my house on Friday night and drive my 68 Dart in the race. I'll drive the 64 Dart.

Who else can we bring out??!!! Can we get 17 cars and have a 50pt race??

I' seem to have gotten the duster to run REAL good, I guess everyone will see what this footbraker is all about :evil: :D Hope to see all the usual
crowd there and some new faces as well. I think I have my friend talked into racing his slanted pickup.... :D The duster will be set for kill if I have to kill it trying, I dunno how long that mills gonna last twisting it 5500 on the stock short block :shock:

Lou so far if Elaine continues to improve after her hip replacement I plan on being there and Dale is suppose to come also. The race will automatically be a 50 pointer since it was last year. Hope to see everyone there. Norm

Missing this race is going to suck :evil: I can't get out of work for the race this weekend. Sounds like this will be THE race to be at on the eastcoast this year. Good luck to everyone! :twisted:

I'm not sure you can count on Tom Drake coming. It might be a good idea to give the Drakes a call and see if they are planning on coming...
