I am looking for some input on my 1974 plymouth valiant SL6. It currently has a one barrel on it and I am thinking about converting to the super six package with the two barrel. Will this really yield any additional power or am I wasting time and money? Thanks for any of your opnions.. wray@voicenet.com |

Thanks for : any of your opnions.. You will gain maybe 10 hp and no mpg nor lose much. BUT the time involved in modifying your bellcrank may (if you don't have all the super six linkage) not be worth all the time if the motor runs fine now. A header and the super six with a 2 1/4 single tube may justify the time invested in the mod. Or you may as well just put a cam and ignition in it as well. Oh ya and have the head milled .060 gasket matched, and bowls opened. then put good butt gears in it 3.21 3.55 Thats what happened to me when I asked that same question. have fun!!!!!!!! drewby45@hotmail.com |
