i have the clifford four barrel manifold with the tri-y short headers and a holley 390-cfm vacuum sec. carb. it really killed the torque the motor makes way down low(1000-1800rpm). however, above 2000rpm the motor pulls like no tomorrow. get out on the freeway and open it up and it just keeps going, i love it. this is all on a stock 225 with a compcams 252S cam. picked up a couple-few mpg, too. just make sure you have a good exhaust shop build the exhaust. it can get tight if you have a four speed. and make sure you have them put joints in it so it can be taken apart more easily if need be. also have the headers checked for flatness before installing them. i blew three gaskets out before i checked. once it was trued up, no problems. i also separated the #4 tube from the flange to let it move a little bit. that helped with sealing also.

I'm running a 83 Hyd 225,clifford intake and hedders. Went with compcams 260h, 60over on bore. I started out with the 390 holley and never could get it past a big bogdown. Got the edel 500 on it now and it is sweet, nice smooth power from go till there ain't no more. We all build these sl6 for differant reasons, besides the fact that "we can". I can tell you that mine out pulls the snot from it's stock form and I don't have to drop it out of overdrive to pull some of these little hills anymore  Mines in a van with a-833 4spd so not a hotrod just better and thats what I was after :D

Ya i ordered Clifford 3into1 headers with the ramflow intake and i have a 390cfm holley on mine.
I picked up maybe 3/4 to a sec in the 1/8 mile over stock.
I like the parts my car runs and idles alot better now.You should be happy when they get there i had to fabricate carb linkage though so you may wanna order some and or make your own.
