how does it need to be connected? I am in the early stages of this slant thing and picked up a pure stock 1975 duster 225/904 ,,, i would like assistance in removing power robbing items that were not on the engine when first envisioned and brought to life back in the late 1950s.. What can be removed what timing should help what low buck mods might one try? all those hoses are a bit confusing and have no idea what needs to be left so as to keep some semblance of drivability.. i got lots of pics of what is there.. If someone could ,say talk me down, it would be great.. want to Make Redding but want to get a bit more than mid 20 ETs out of this jewel... thank you dr

See this post, and get all three books described in this post. The original 1960 configuration of the slant-6 was not necessarily the best or most desirable.

The cheepist and no cost is to loose weight. Every 100 lbs means 1/0 of a second. How fast do you want to go. Thanks Ron Parker :D

In lower powered cars a 100 pounds can mean more than a tenth... If you do a 3500 pound car with , say 80 RWHP.. you get 20.52.. if you knock a hunedred out ... same power 2 tenths... A lower powered VW losing 100 pounds can pick up a lot... My pure stock 1968 bug ran 20.89 after yanking out the back seats pass seat, spare tire jack etc etc got the car down about 200 pounds according to the new digital scales @ Sac... ran 20.09 with a 20.12 back up... 8 tenths...200 pounds (the 10th per 100 works on a 3500 pound small block chevy ... but ythen I have seen runs where losing 90 pounds was good for a coupla hundreds... I guess that's why it's ROT..
