Just wondering what parts I might need to make the switch and if anyone has done this. Any major gains or losses from the conversion. As far as i know, I need a new steering box, steering coloum and a convertor/adaptor. The box was an easy find but the coloum is proving a little more dificult, and I'm not sure about the adaptor. Any info at this point would be helpful. Thanks |

Flaming River has an adapter shaft that will do the job for you; no need to change the column. |

Yes What Dakight Said, also you can get these adapeter From Steer n' Gear and also mancini Racing. They work Fine. Shouldnt this thread be in the Suspension / Brakes Section? Greg |

So when swithing, is it just a swap of the power steering pump for the manual steering box? And the adaptor just fits onto the steering coloum? |

This is the kit I used - the u-joint part fits on the steering box, the shaft part fits on the column, and the shaft you have to cut to fit. This style joint replaces the stock joint as well. You can also use this adapter - you keep the stock joint on the column, and this goes between box and joint. |
