Hello everyone.. I just signed up and been reading and already found some helpful information! I currently purchased a 1974 Duster with the slant6 with bucket seats. Someone has started on the car. It has had all the seats and panels re-upholstered in black leather. and a new dash put in with some new pieces. ( dash will be redone ) but I got it home and have been driving it.. It needs the carb adjusted but im fixing to go out and mess with that. Plans for the car are /6 to small block/904 swap. nice paint.. (orange maybe?) and some wheels and tires.. I picked it up for $1200 and drove it home!

Not to pick on you HOWEVER you may find less support here than lets say forabodiesonly dot com. Most of us want to keep our /6 engines Hench the name slant 6 forum. Its a great thing to smoke a ricer or v8 with a hoped up /6 and then get out of the car a pop the hood and show the / off. If you really want to go with a small block Im sure someone here would take it off your hands.

I joined this because I plan to drive the six for a while until I find the right drivetrain combo.. It could be anywerhe from a month to a year down the road.. I just figured if I had problems with the SIX you guys could help me keep it up and running that way when i DO swap maybe someone on here might want the drivetrain.
