Just a shot in the dark here, if it's too off topic or irrelevant, I'll understand. Just thought there were some savvy folks on this board who might have a lead. Anyway... anyone have an idea where I can can get a set of magnesium wheels coated with Dow 7? Thanks, Greg |

Dow 7 is a chemical coating that prevents corrosion. It's leaves a brassy-to-greenish tint on magnesium, basically a chem-dip process. A lot of magnesium pieces are used in the aviation industry and with sprint/midget racers. The corrosion that occurs with magnesium looks like lichen on a rock and basically turns the alloy into dust. |
