Is there any problem with putting a double pulley 73' alternator in a '63 valiant that only needs a single pulley? I need an alternator and there's one for sale locally.

Thanks

The '73 will have dual field wires. The '63 is a single field. You can make it work by grounding one field terminal to the case with a short piece of wire and a couple terminal ends. You will need to run the belt on the inner groove.
