| Post subject: | Hood to carb clearance on '62 v200 |
I was wondering what the hood cleaance is on the ealy A body with a 4 barrel manifold(mines an Offy)? I havent on an carb yet but id like to use the stock slant air cleaner with a different base. is there enough cleanance or will I need a drop base cleaner? Thanks. -Jesse |

Air cleaner to hood clearance is always really tight on the '60-'62 A-bodies with 225 engine. You'll definitely need a drop-base unit. |

I figured as much, just hopein someone had done it, or maybe i'll do a '57 T-bird scoop on the hood! Thanks Dan. -Jesse |
