'Cheap' and 'lots of power' normally don't co-exist.

Best depends on your application, there's no one carb, or part, that's best for all applications.

Your asking very general questions. Try to narrow down what you want to achieve.

Slant Cecil my main engine tuner is right. If it is a stock Slant no carb will give you a lot of power. One must know what your intended use is street, street buildup, street/strip or full blown drag race. Been there done that. Thanks Ron Parker :D

Hell Possum, a 150 shot is easy to tune. It's the next step up that gets tricky. :lol:

Only when you get greedy and kill a piston. Then the remains of the rings tend to dig little gouges.

Trust me, Pops may be smarter than you give him gredit for. I know mine was when I was your age. :D
