Post subject:  Instrument Cluster Reapir Article?

I have seen in the past a thread for instruemnt cluster repair. I am working on my 1972 Duster instrument cluster and need some guidance.
Does anyone know where the article is?

repair or replacement?

if you state what's broken that might narrow it down, there have been a large number of posts for that over the last year.

I don't know about the article you saw, but I have seen this place mentioned many times:

Mr. G's Rechromed Plastic
5613 Elliot Reeder Road
Ft Worth TX 76117
817-831-3501

I haven't had work done by them, so I can't vouch for their quality or cost. Anyone????

Mr. G's has a very bad reputation, as it seems, see here.

Can you tell me a good plastic chrome plater?

I have started making a few slant six emblems and I am thinking about getting the prototypes chrome plated.

If you want real chrome on plastic, there's only one place that does this AFAIK: www.paulschrome.com/

Saw their demo on the tv program My Classic Car. They figured out some process that allows nickel to adhere to plastic; the chrome plating is then quite simple. Makes the parts heavy!

I had the instrument cluster bezel, the heater/defroster bezel, and the headlight/wiper/pushbutton gear selector bezel done for my 63 Dart GT convertible. Excellent work.

Expensive. But then, I've spent more money on this car then anyone in their right mind should. (Don't ask me about the Marchal Ampiluxes I got from SlantSixDan!!!).
