What makes a newer engine with the same or about the same liters as the slant put out more stock horsepower and torque? |

About 46 years of technological advancement in engineering designs. Take electronics alone in monitoring your engine, much less physical advancements like roller cam technology, shorter strokes for higher rpm, head designs, manifold designs, exhaust system designs, etc...... |
