Post subject:  Transmission EMERGENCY!!! help please

so I am in the final phase of my engine/tranny rebuild with all the major heavy stuff installed and in the car. Today I realized I have yet to install the transmission cooling lines. They have been in the trunk for ther better part of a year, so I cant remember when in the removal process I took them out. So while trying to install them, one of the ends kinked and snapped off. So now I have only ONE line that is remotely capable of being installed.
The other problem is that trying to get them in there is next to impossible. I cant seem to figure out how they are oriented under the engine. I couldnt find any helpful illustrations in my manual.

My car is:
1966 Dodge Dart, with 225, A-904 Transmission.

I need help, what can I do?
Who sells replacement cooling lines? Can I make some if I find the female fittings and use copper line instead of the steel?

What are the thread types and size in the radiator for the tranny cooling lines? and what are the thread types and size of the fittings for the tranny lines in the tranny? I am thinking of just using fittings that I can install hose on, since routing the line (rigid steel line) is part of what caused the problem to begin with. Thanks.

Trans cooler lines are one of my least favourite car parts. See my comments in this thread for how you might get the problem solved quickly and locally.

Post subject:  hard lines

#1 you already have the fittings you need-- they are contained in the lines that twisted off----

#2 don't panic-- check out the exact place where your line/ broke-- it is possible to use rubber hose (use tranny type) & reconnect your hard lines--m sure that the aftermarket has them-- or as noted before bend your own-- just do not get in a hurry or you will kink them.

You could also bend your own with a pre-determined amount of rubber line-- ie--- hard line from the tranny & radiator/tranny cooler-- soft flexible line alongside the block-- or where ever you chose.

just make sure you make smooth cuts on the hard lines & have a good clamp

The bonus of having your original lines is that you have a pattern
Good luck it will work out fine--- Lawrence
