Post subject:  Engine 4 sale and other stuff

Is anyone in the Seattle area interested in a good running '75 225 complete with 4 door Dart parts car. The engine runs quiet and clean (no black smoke) and has the 1 bbl carb. Car has bucket seats needing upholstery which I may keep if they'll work in my 2 door. Car is not in bad shape but I did notice the door panels where ripped up some. Bumpers and grill are clean and straight. Don't recall the condition of the glass.

The situation is I'm rebuilding a '73 Scamp and I took the auto trans into the local shop, which is trusted and has a good reputation. Even though the tranny seemed to be running good it's basically toast. I did have a slight whine at freeway speeds but couldn't tell if it was tranny or rear end. It was a whine and not a bearing grawl. The shop wants $550 to rebuild and that includes a new torq. cnvrt. I'm thinking about buying the 75 Dart just for the tranny and don't really want to pay the price for the whole car just to send the un-needed stuff to the junk yard.

So if someone is interested send me an email and what you are willing to pay for the car without the tranny and maybe no seats, but I guess you could have the bench seat out of the '73.

Or should I just pay the shop to do the rebuild???? Or should I look for just a tranny alone????

For that price i would have them rebuild the thing with a new TC. Who knows how long a used tranny will last. Think about it, any used /6 tranny is gona be at least 20 years old now.
