I'm wanting to put some 17 inch billets on my 72' dart but the bolt pattern is 5 on 4 and 3/4 and the stock bolt pattern I have is 5 on 4...is there a dodge rear end out there that i can just swap in so that i wont have to make new axle hubs? and same thing goes for the front end same problem... I was thinking of possible trying to put a S10 suspension under her instead...tell what you huys and girls think??????? and whats my brakes/ing options?....

any 70-76 dart, dart sport, Duster, Demon, Valient rearend would work. that goes for the front end too.

See the response in your other thread, and try not to post in multiple areas. A-Bodies are a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern in the later years, 5 on 4" otherwise. Short of adapters or redrilling you'll need a different set of wheels.

I believe most on this forum will recommend you find the correct wheel for the application.

73 and up disc brake cars are large bolt pattern. Drum brake was still 4".

4 3/4" is a Chevy bolt pattern. I'd rather have the wheels redrilled, to either your existing or 4 1/2" bolt pattern.

Swapping an S10 suspension would take an insane amount of work, for the questionable purpose of putting an undistinguished suspension GM fished out of several parts bins in place of one that was quite advanced for its time. If you're going to an ungodly amount of work to do a blasphemous suspension swap, you might as well go all out and swap in a C4 Corvette suspension, or put a Miata IRS in there. It'd be the same amount of work. Why bother with a halfway blasphemy?

thanks for the info everybody i was thinking about redrilling all the drums and axles but its way too much work...so im selling the wheels dam shame though they looked really nice sittin along side the car...aw well more money to put into my slant...thanks again
