My Suspension is shot. The front right side hangs all the way down. The left tire is pitched inward so the balding on the inner part of the tire is quite bad.

I should Update/Upgrade the suspension but I don't know exactly what to do. I am keeping the Six in the car since it was never taken out. I am willing to put some money into the car but I do not want to under/over do it. Down the road I am planning to make the six pump out more power so I don't want to be stock. I like tight suspensions......

Also, I would like to upgrade the braking system to disc all around instead of only in the front.

I have researched all the sites but once again I don't want to waste money on something that I do not need.

I would like to make the Redding meet at the end of september and fixing this problem is what would get me there.

You probably need all new rubber bushings in the front end. This includes the lower control arm, upper control arm and strut rod bushings. The lower ball joints are also probably worn. Check all the other joints in the steering including the pitman arm, both ends of the idler and every tie rod end. If you aren't going to do this work yourself you'll need to find a good front end and alignment shop that understands our old Chrysler products.

If you want to improve handling over stock you will need a sway bar or two, higher rate torsion bars and better shocks along with a better tire and wheel package. This gets somewhat complicated, but I will say I do not like KYB Gas-A-Just shocks on our cars.

Since you bring up overdoing things don't worry about having rear drum brakes. If you want just get finned rear drums.

What he said on the bushings. HD rubber works well.

Shocks: I do like my KYB's, but that may be because they are so much better than what was on it before ...

Tires with the right rims make a huge difference.

'74 disk brakes are a good starting point. To upgrade what you have, consider good pads first. An easy, effective upgrade would be to get the right caliper adapters and the 11.75" rotors. You'll likely need larger diameter rims to clear.

I wouldn't worry about rear disks yet.

Glad to know about the rear. I was going to get new rims and tires for sure. There must be 30 year old Cragars on there now with truck tires on the rear.

can someone give me the link as to where to purchase the brake kit from?

Is this what I need for the front suspension? http://www.p-s-t.com/mopar/mofekpgs.html

Is there any benefit in getting coilovers?

I forgot to ask. This may seem a little off the wall but my buddy seems to think putting 18x9's in the rear and 17x8's in the front for rims

he even says I should do 19's in the rear and 18's in the front.

What is possible and what is not?

What is your goal with this car? Getting it back to a safe condition is one thing, and that's where the basic front end rebuild comes in. Daily driver? Are you going to race? What kind? Car shows? Cruises?
I personally don't want rims that tall on my car - they're jarring to my middle-aged eyes.
You certainly don't NEED rims like that to get good handling in an daily-driver A-body.
My '64 has 15X7 rims all around, much better than the 13Xskinny rims it came with.

Goals....

I want to drive it a couple of times a week. Beat it up some on the street and bring it to car shows.

Currently I drive an Audi A6 Wagon, so I am big on handling.

From my research, 17" is about as big as I would go. Bigger and you lose any sidewall on the tire.

My limit was about 4" of sidewall, less than that gives it the "rubber band" look, and not enough protection for the wheel (if you drive it on the streets).
