Hi all,

After all the questions on this, I started looking for a good calculator for static and dynamic engine compression. This is the best that I have found so far:
http://www.empirenet.com/pkelley2/DynamicCR.html

My two complaints:
  • It is windows only
It does not have a save or a print option. If you want to save this, you need to do an "alt-print screen" to get a screen shot.
Now, new questions:
What is what are the limits of dynamic compression on the slant six? I have read that 8:1 is the max on iron head engines. Does that hold true on a slant?
Is there a general relationship that can be drawn from dynamic compression to octane requirements?

Here are my calculations for my theoretical slant (This is what I think my turbo slant will look like)
