Post subject:  master cylinder size

i bought a master cylinder awhile back on ebay 1573m. i got i but didn't know i had 9 inch rears at the time. now that the master cylinder's gone bad on the duster i need to change it out. the only thing is the one i have is for 10's all around how much of a difference can this make for the 9 inch rears my front has 10s.

i was trying to hold out until i got all the parts for disks but i cant the brake pedal drops to the floor and i have a hard time stopping so i have to keep the drums on until i have all i need to do the change.

Don't worry about it; 9" and 10" drum systems use the same-size master cylinder.

It will fit and work fine. My biggest concern is that it's a Cardon reman... they don't have best reputation for quality.

Yup, if you have any possibility of getting a different brand (Bendix, Raybestos, EIS, Wagner, United), don't use that Cardone garbage. It'll only cost you money, time, effort and tears.
