I posted a message on the .com site and you really bailed me out!!! It was about checking a cam without any info on it. I put a positive stop in no 1 cylinder any my balancer was 10 degrees off! Then i checked the split on the cam, the intake opened at 19 degrees and the exaust closed at 29 degrees no wonder i didnt have any compression!!! Thanks Doug! I for one really appreciate the help you give us here! as i'm sure we all do!!!!

I think there could be a market for an aftermarket head for the slant six. I heard that Indy Cylinder Head is developing a head for the AMC 401. How many AMC fans are there ? At best, I would have guessed they'd sell a set of these heads a week, but I must be way low on that estimate otherwise they'd not tool up to build them. V8 Indy wedge heads sell for about $1,800 a set.

I think a new head could be done for the slant. There's a hundred or so people in the local MoPar club and many slant fans. I'd say there's a market for a new slant head. A new head is the easiest way to make power from these motors.
