Now heres the prob i called edge converters back the 1st time i was told they could get 3000rpm stall outa the mild converter which is 300 buck now he's saying i'd have to buy the 500$ one the high performance converter what should i do and know any other companies? and would this idea work to use (just an example) use like a 5000rpm stall v8 converter to get the lower stall like around 3000 on my slant six? help please Thanks Kevin |

http://www.raceconverters.com/ Call them and tell them what you want to do. Should be around $400. Lou |

I got a 10" street converter from Midwest that stalled 3000 behind a stock slant for $318 shipped to my door. That was a ferw years ago. I don't think prices have gone up too much. IIRC, Fred is the guy you want to talk to. A converter that stalls 5000 behind a small block will still stall almost 4500 or so behind a Slant. 3000 should be a piece of cake. |

Thanks guys ya i was thinking of the v8 converter idea but then i though hmm it'll probably be more or just as exspensive since it's got a huge stall rating not to mention if it would fit my 1964 engine and 1974 tranny. Thanks Kevin |

Make sure to tell them you have a small register crank or you will get a late converter that will not fit your motor. |
