Somebody somewhere has probably already done this. Generally you need a stout bottom end and low (lower?) compression. Most blowers can be dialed in underdriven or overdriven depending on what you're running. A ot of it is gonna be what you're looking for from it. I'll be intere4sted to see what some of the more experienced folks here have to say. Good luck! Frank |

yes you can,if you like a challenge and don`t take(it won`t work)for an answer you will have fun doing it.i had a 4-53blower off a 4cylinder detroit, made all the brackets, manifold and serpentine belt drive from junkyard parts and made a 0.030 over slant in a 2500lbs car do 12.30et @ 108mph in the 1/4mile,now i am working on a 4-71blower with 2/600cfm vac secondary in the same car with a 0.080 over slant, this one is not going as easey, the things i would suggest is think long and hard on cam, compression and carb selection.the smaller blower could handle more compression than a big blower without hurting parts, and just by spinning the blower faster and making more boost doesn`t mean you will make your car faster.go to webshots and search terrylittlejohn most of my picture are there. good luck |
