Depends whether you have the Saginaw- or Federal-built pump; they take different caps. The Saginaw pump has an oval filler neck or a "ham can" shaped reservoir. The Federal pump has a round filler neck.

I have the Federal pump but when we bought the car it had a gas cap on it. Where would I get the proper one for Federal. Thanks.
