That's some good times there Shaker. How many pounds of boost were you running? 15+? You seem to leave that part out. Seriously, congratulations to you. You have one of the best running turbo street cars I have seen here so far. I can respect that. |

That is what I am talking about! I want to run a turbo and be a daily driver etc. 833OD and 3:91's. Eat lots of rice and Slap some 'stangs. Who is that's building the stainless turbo headers? |

I'm running almost 21psi with this thing. I'm not sure how much longer all the stock componts will take it all. I keep the AFR rich @ 11.1 and switched to 100% meth injection to avoid knock. It has a 50/50 mix of 93 and some race gas 100 no lead. I also thru in 3 gal of E85 for giggles. I took it to the Chassis dyno again last week to tweak it before the track. RWHP went up to 259hp (from 234) and TQ 345 (from 310). I put a straight thru muffler on it and that was good for 10 HP and 10 TQ but the big gain was from advancing the timing 3 degrees to 19 total. I tried another 2 degrees to 21 and the gains were small so I backed it down. There are some picks on this board. I'll have to see if the link still works as my ISP was changing their picture posting board. |

Nice work. 21psi and that power level means your turbo, or intercooler (have one?), or exh, or head are limiting flow quite a bit. Good idea on the exhaust. Jess is right, there is a lot of room here for gains. Keep up the good work, Lou |

That is real good. I had trouble with my turbo 170 after about 12 lbs boost. PS: Almost stock engine, about 2800-2900 lbs. Best was 13.39 at 104 mph. |

The car is intercooled. As most of you know, the head is a real restriction in stock form. I suspect with a decent flowing head it would pick up quite a bit. Right now the intake manifold sees 21psi but how much of that is really filling the cyl? |

If you want to try a Jeffrey head I have a street head you can borrow. I also think that if you hook it up you will find 2 things. 1. Your MPH will go down and ET will probably not change much. 2. You will find any weak points in your drivetrain. A lot of the stuff in my car is not there to make it go faster, it is there to keep from breaking, or to make it a more consistent bracket car. Turbo cars are easier on parts than a spray car though. Your boost comes on with a softer hit than mine does. That will keep it alive longer up to a point. |

Slantzilla, I appreciate the offer. I'll have to pass because I'd hate to have this thing expire and take the head with it. There is a freind of a freind here in town who does turbo porting stuff. That would give us a good comparison on head flow #s. Right now they are making over 400 whp from a 2.2 Chrysler. I have not recd an update in a while on progress. I've been told that in stock form the 2.2 head flows about the same or less than a /6 head. Also, Im not sure how thrilled he'd be to work on an iron head as opposed to an aluminum one. For sure, turbos are softer on parts than NO2. I've thought about NO2 but would hate to fill the bottle all the time...turbos never need to be refilled. |

Hey Shaker and Zilla Could we see a cost comparison on your builds as well. It would be neat to see how they compare on the pocket book vs HP and ETs. |
