For the 225 Slant six for 1/8th mile drag racing...

The 198 rod with a 2.2L forged piston or the 225 rod with standard piston?

The 198 con rod with 2.2 piston / rings is a much lighter assembly, has less ring/piston friction and the 7 inch long con rod gives you a better rod ratio. A "long rod" 225 SL6 will make more power then a conventional 225... that is why the racer's use this combination.

The downside... 198 con rods and 2.2 forged pistons are hard to get these days.
