HI Once again, Thanks for all your help with both of my Rams's sl/6 totourqueroblems..... and..... most importantly my poly------> sl/6 swap...with your help everything fits, looks, and smells right (In the car not me!!!) Only one problem left (in the 65 satellite)......the radiator, I cannot find an original type replacement that matches the sl/6 and fits the 65 car.... Junkers, local, parts guys (even the good ones!!!) have not been able to help...I can come close but not quite. right Anyone got a part # and/or source (original Mopar-aftermarket' doesnt matter) for the original 65 sl/6 radiator? Or a suggestion for a good replacement from a later year (I am not a 100% restore type guy) THe car is a 65 Plym Satellite Covnvert that now has a 225/904 combo, ( Also,I live in New England, and would be willing to take a ride if someone has a source) Thanks again |

If you have a rad thats right width, depth etc.a good rad shop can swap sl6 top and bottom tanks to give you correct hose connection sizes.Or a rad that fits the bracket width, height they can solider in new openings and cover up the old holes. You should be able to find a rad that will fit maybe for a v-8 that year/model and have it modified. You'll get better advice than mine so hang on it's coming.Good luck |

Not having much luck findin one up here in New England hard to find decent parts, and parts houses are mostly chainstores now... Problem is I have very little clearance 'tween hood etc and top of tank, the 65 Satellite car is Kustom and has a totally modified front, and roll pan etc. would take a lot of work to change from original type or real close, V8's real easy to find but because of tranny/oil cooler (don't wanna go w/seperate one) necessary mods are next to impossible) So ....unless anyone of you out there can help with radiator that matches original real close, guess I'll have to have one made, oh well.. thanks again...luv the forum all of you have helped and helped! a real lot with all three of my sl/6 cars so far, PS (Hopefully our winter project is a 34 D body- sedan type, rod built on the cheap w/ another sl/6 I just found from a friend of a friends (gonna change the old crashbox and go auto tho) and a bunch of old stuffs we had made up way back when, had them still hangin around all these years ....... (??? frame, three carb, manifold, old strombergs,s.. split 2 2 2 headers etc and Yup the radiator I still got hangin round from the poly) |
