How many quarts of oil does a 225 with a stock oil pan take? |

With the standard filter (fram ph8a, wix 51515) and stock car pan, 5 quarts. |

I found 5 qts to be a bit on the high side and fills past full mark on dip stick. I always put 4 1/2 in ours and after running in the system and filling the filter, it's always right on the money. |
