I have play in my steering box. I was told once that the adjustment screw could be tightened down to alleviate this condition but I want to tap the knowledge of the fine contributors on this forum. Thanks Ya'll, |

Yes you can, I would consult the FSM for proper adjustment or old school it by backing off the lock nut and running the adjuster down until all play is gone. Do this with a light touch as to not crank down on it. Experiment and you will get it right. FYI if you get it too tight the steering wheel won't want to return to center on its own. |
