Well I got a new experience today, one of my buddy's took me over to a farm where he's cutting up some old farm equipment for scrap. Askes me if this old John Deere hay thresher still runs...
Data plate says HB-225-655, has points, drool tube head, and the paint under the crank bolt is late model mopar blue (so 71-72 ish I think).
Water in the cylinders has seized the engine, and it has one of the direct drive starters on it along with a manifold side mounted alt or generator...
Looks like I got another 'donor' engine...
Never worked on a John Deere slant six before...pretty 'odd'...
